Klingon is the guttural warrior language of the Klingon Empire from Star Trek, featuring unique sounds and an aggressive phonology.

Description

Klingon (tlhIngan Hol) was created by linguist Marc Okrand in 1984 for the Star Trek franchise. It features a deliberately alien phonology with sounds uncommon in natural languages, an Object-Verb-Subject word order, and a rich vocabulary of over 3,000 words. The Klingon Language Institute maintains and expands the language, and it has been used in opera, Shakespeare translations, and even a Duolingo course.
